The small car industry is one of the largest segments of car manufacturing in India. Every year, new cars are being added to this category and it keeps growing every year. The simple reason for the growing small car industry is that most of the people in India are from middle class families. These families can’t afford to buy sedans that cost quite a lot; their only other option is to buy a hatch back that fits into their budget.
There are plenty of small cars available in the market today; all of them fall between the Rs. 2 lakh to Rs. 5 lakh range. Another reason why a lot of people buy small cars is due to heavy traffic. A lot of people prefer driving small cars simply because they are easier to maneuver.
Many car manufacturers have seen this increase in demand for small cars and have started rolling out high end small cars that cost as much as a sedan. Skoda launched the Fabia which was a “costly” hatch back that was priced as much as the low end models of a sedan.
Hyundai soon followed suit with the launch of the Hyundai i20. The Hyundai price for the i20 was somewhere around Rs. 6-7 lakhs which is actually a lot for a hatch back. But even with this high pricing the Hyundai i20 manages to do pretty well.
The i20 runs on the same engine as its younger sibling the i10. It is powered by a more powerful 1.2 liter Kappa engine that churns a good amount of power. The Hyundai i20 is available in 2 variants – Petrol and diesel. There are many models of the i20, they are:
1. Hyundai i20 1.4 Magna Diesel with ABS
2. Hyundai i20 1.4 Asta Diesel
3. Hyundai i20 1.4 Asta AT with Sunroof
4. Hyundai i20 1.4 Asta Diesel With Sunroof

6. Hyundai i20 Magna
7. Hyundai i20 Asta
8. Hyundai i20 Asta
Each of these models has different features and offer good value for their price. Hyundai i20 price varies on different models. Hyundai has a very good service network so you do not have to worry much about maintenance issues. Overall, the Hyundai i20 is an excellent car for those people who have bigger budgets.
